Excellent orators – what kind of people are they and what is it that they know that others don’t? Evija Caune, the teacher from SIA Eiro Personâls, by co-operating with Elîna Apsîte continues to develop the subject of rhetoric and invites you to participate in the seminar-workshop, where through practical activities you will be able to develop your skills of public performance.
What kind of workshop is it?
At the workshop we will help both specialists and beginners to address an audience, look directly into people’s eyes fearlessly, not to become confused, to feel confident and free, and know very well what they must say and how to say this in the best and most precise way. We will learn how to carry away listeners and make them believe, follow and want to realise our ideas, and do this with delight. The workshop is a forge, gym, sports field, and theatre stage and wings of the enthusiastic, confident and breathtaking speakers.
What are the gains?
The gains are courage, confidence, and healthy self-assurance by using technical methods of making yourself free, controlling the body and voice, and radiating confidence; the skill of formulating your thoughts in a strict manner, speaking in a brief, clear and concise manner, and with enthusiasm and confidence; the skills of addressing an audience in a fearless manner and making the audience listen breathlessly.
Who are invited?
We welcome people whose job is persuading people and representing their bosses or subordinates. People who have to sell their ideas, products, skills and knowledge, and take a firm stand in discussions, persuade the doubting ones, and motivate the tired followers and comrades.
Who will lead the workshop?
Elina Apsite. Elina’s professional sphere is closely connected with stage both in the direct and indirect sense as the work of a teacher is also a “theatre of one actor”. Her competences and fields of interest are communication culture, acting, stage speech, public performance and presentations, and philosophy: this teacher is a Master of Arts in philosophy. She has also mastered an unusual speech improvement method based on general relaxation of a person, thus freeing him or her from stress and allowing free and creative self expression. She has gained diverse experience both through working with students as a teacher of philosophy and rhetoric and with officers of different levels when helping to create an image and develop public speaking skills. Elina also acts as a host at public events.
Evija Caune. Long-term and comprehensive teaching experience notably specialization in public speech is characteristic of Ms. Evija. The audience of the lecturer has been students, officials and job seeking people. She also works also as an expert of gender equality problems. At first she obtained bachelors degree of philosophy. She continued her studies obtaining masters degree of pedagogy and mastering theoretical studies of doctoral curriculum in teaching. She has also studied in Oxford. In company “Eiro Personals” Ms. Evija Caune is leading seminars “Pleasure to work” and “Effective public speech”.

What methods will be used?
We will be learning by means of both serious and amusing exercises. We will recall some of them from our childhood, and some exercises will be specially designed for this seminar. We will show and try out together simple technical methods with the body, voice and language. We will shoot films and look at ourselves from a side angle. There will be no lectures or presentations, but there will be classes for exercising and improving skills.
How long we’ll work? 2 days, from 10:00 a.m. till 17:30 p.m.
